The SV 7th grade boys basketball team hosted the Pocahontas Indians on Tuesday, January 7th and recorded a 65-10 victory. The Jaguars jumped out to an early 1st quarter 18-0 lead. The Jaguars controlled the tempo and pace of the game and capitalized on several scoring opportunities on fast breaks. Defensively, the Jaguars were just as sound and allowed only 10 points by the Indians; solid defensive rotations and communication contributed to the defensive effort. The Jaguars finished the first half up by a 35-6 margin. Seven Jaguars chipped into the scoring efforts: Bennett Nolte (8), Griffin Vote (8), Tristan Hanson (12), Wyatt Muench (18), Grant Ott (14), Turner Ahlers (2), and Corbin Eslick (3). Nick Vogel, Reece Carlson, Bentley Jondle, and Nolan Albright all contributed throughout the contest as well. The Jaguars will travel next to Barnum on January 13th at 4:15 to take on the Cougars in what will be another exciting conference matchup.
