8th Grade Overcome Sluggish Start, Prevail with a 11-8 Triumph

The 8th Grade baseball team visited Madrid on Thursday, June 6th. After a scoreless top of the first inning, and giving up 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st, trailing 5-0; the Jaguars found their groove and ran off 11 unanswered runs over the next 3 innings leading 11-5 before the bottom of the 4th inning. The Tigers were able to score three more runs before the Jags recorded the final out of the game with a pop fly to second base.  


Conner Rentz started on the mound, and pitched the opening inning of the contest. Landon Vote came in and pitched the final three innings of the game. Caden Milham, Brennan Milham, Caden Cramer, Colby Peterson, Carver Peterson, and Colton Haug all recorded an RBI in the game. Jake Patterson was electric with the bat, earning two doubles in the game, along with two RBI's knocked in. Conner Rentz, Keelan Wellman, Vote (2) Dawson Tuel, Haug (2), Patterson (2), Colby Peterson, and Cramer all scored for the team.
