Burnside- The Southeast Valley 8th grade boys won 40-25 over Pocahontas Area. The Jags started off on the right foot and took a 14-2 advantage after the first quarter. They kept the momentum and took a 22-8 lead into the halftime break. We wanted to maintain our defensive pressure and get out and run the floor on offense. We needed to rebound the ball better and not give them second chances on offense. The Jags continued to play hard and held a commanding 35-17 lead after three quarters complete. At the final horn the Jags were in control with a 40-25 victory over the Indians. Scoring for the Jaguars: Tucker Ollinger (8), Ethan Martin (6), Josiah Hefley (10), August Akins (2), Parker Bintz (14). Also contributing for the Jaguars: Mason Newell, Chris Andrews, Colton Bachel, Asher Loeffler, and Shelton DeVries. The Jags are back in action on January 13 in Barnum against Manson Northwest Webster.
