Burnside- The Southeast Valley 8th grade boys defeated Eagle Grove 36-28 to get a hard fought victory. The Jags never trailed and took a 11-6 lead after the first quarter. The Jags kept the momentum and led 21-13 heading into the halftime break. We made a few adjustments in our offense and talked about securing the rebound on the defensive side of the court. We talked about staying calm and playing our style of basketball throughout the 2nd half of the game. The Jags were able to hang onto the lead 29-19 after three quarters of action. As the final horn went off the Jags had claimed a 36-28 hard earned victory.
