8th Grade Bounces Back with 11-0 Showing

After a tough loss the previous Friday, the 8th Grade baseball team bounced back with an impressive defensive gem and a 11-0 win over the Ogden Bulldogs in Dayton on Monday, June 10th.


Landon Vote started the game on the bump and threw a solid 4 inning masterpiece. Vote struck out 6 total Bulldog batters, gave up only two base hits (both singles), and had zero walks allowed as he faced a total of 16 batters. Colton Haug was also solid in his lone inning on the mound, earning a strikeout and solid defensive plays in the field as he only faced the minimum three batters in the top of the 5th inning. 


With the bats in their hands, Dawson Tuel, Caden Cramer, Colton Haug and Jake Patterson combined to go 7-9 from the batter's box. Tuel was 2-2 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Patterson also added a double and scored twice in the ball game. Haug went 2-3 with the bat, scoring twice and added an RBI. Cramer also went 2-3 from the plate, with two singles and 3 RBI in the game. Others scoring for the Jags were Conner Rentz (2 runs), Vote, Tuel, Keelan Wellman, Colby Peterson and Cramer.
