Jaguar Baseball 6-7 Alta 6-5 W (3-6) 3-2 conf.

A wild crazy night at Jaguar field last Friday night as the Southeast Valley baseball team took the game from conference foe Alta-Aurelia with two big runs in the seventh inning. With two outs Logan Jaeschke stepped up and hit a ball in the hole. The errant throw in a tough play resulted in Hane Sorenson and Colin Johnson (who was running for catcher Mason Bahr), to score giving the Jags their third conference win. The Jags were ahead 4-2 in the 7th but three runs for the Warriors gave them a one run lead and looked like the Jags were going to suffer another close loss. The Jags hung in there though and a game that could have gone either way went the Jags way. Gauge Jones had himself a day getting three hits and throwing five strong innings. Gauge only allowed two runs through those five innings of work. Ryan Stewart would relieve Gauge coming in and threw well. Ryan would load the bases but come through and strike out two batters and get a ground out to Tyler Jondle to end the threat with no runs scored a huge gutsy inning for the young righty pitcher. Rest of the hits for the Jags included two for Casey Hanson and two for Logan Jaeschke. Hane Sorenson would round out the hitting with a single scoring Casey Hanson and eventually scoring himself. It was a crazy exciting game which showed a lot of resiliency from the young SV Squad.

JV Action 7-3 W (6-2-1)

Jag JV bats did enough to grab their six win of the year. Colin Johnson, Jaxon Meyer each

added a hit while Lenix Allbee and Ayden Bintz both added two hits for the Jags. Both would

end up scoring once. Kolton Ollinger scored on a walk along with Caden Kaltschnee and Nick Field. Kolton Ollinger was on the mound for the Jaguars allowing no hits but gave up a few walks which lead to runs but keep them at bay enough for the Jags JV squad to get a quality win over an always tough JV opponent.
