6-26 @ Manson NW Webster 6-3 W (8-11)

Non conference matchup between Manson NW Webster saw the Jaguar baseball team

traveling to Manson for the mid week contest. Cougars were quick to strike in the first but the Jags came back with three unanswered runs to take the lead. It was a tough match up until the sixth inning when Hane Sorenson had a big hit, he would eventually score as well to give the Jaguars a nice two run lead. One more run would cross in the seventh to give pitcher Gauge Jones all he would need for insurance runs. Junior Gauge Jones was fantastic on the mound once again. Gauge would go the distance, all seven innings recording twelve strikeouts and the key to the game only giving up two walks and one hit batter. The defense also backed him up, only having one error on the day.

The Jag bats did enough to secure the win. They would leave some room for

improvement leaving 12 runners on base half of them in scoring position but just couldn’t get the big hit when they needed it until the later innings. Mason Bahr and Cale VanSickle would start off the second inning with singles, followed by Karson Roper with a single to load the bases. Freshman Casey Hanson came up big time with a double which scored Bahr and VanSickle. The Jags were quiet for a few innings until the sixth inning when Tyler Jondle would hit into a fielder's choice but Hane Sorenson would single and an error by the centerfielder would score Tyler. Hane reaching second on the error, would eventually score on a sac fly from Gauge Jones. Logan Jaeschke would walk and score in the seventh inning on a passed ball to give the Jags six total runs and enough to secure their eight win of the season.

JV ACTION: 15-1 W (10-4-1)

It was a long Junior Varsity game which ended with fifteen total walks for the Jaguars

and a lot of runs. In between the walks Lincoln Akins had a day hitting a double and a single

while scoring three times. Lincoln’s double would score two runners as well. The only other hit on the day came from catcher Nick Field, who scored a runner with a single to right. The Jags doing all the scoring were Colin Johnson and Lincoln Akins with three total runs scored. Ryan Stewart and Evan Bintz would contribute together for three runs while Caden Kaltschnee would hit a sac fly, scoring a runner and scoring twice himself. Jaxon Meyer and Ayden Bintz would both end up scoring a run for the Jags. It was a frustrating game as the Jags really wanted to hit but they were patient at the plate and took the walks and the win. With all the walks the Jags were on the offensive side of the ball most of the day. However Casey Hanson would start and throw two strong innings, striking out five batters and walking one. Nick Field would come in for Casey in the third and be just what the doctor ordered striking out two batters and
