SVSB vs. Eagle Grove 7/1/24
The Southeast Valley softball team dropped their game against the visiting Eagles from Eagle Grove by a score of seven to five after nine innings of play. After tonight’s game the Jaguars hold a record of 15 wins and eight losses.
The Jaguars fought hard in the back in fourth battle and never gave up, but it just wouldn’t be enough. The team looks to learn from the loss and improve in the next two games against Nevada and Coon Rapids Bayard.
Offensively the Jaguars saw production from several members of the offense, but they were lead at the plate by senior Ellie Nolte, junior Chloe Lambert, and senior Kenna Scott.
Ellie Nolte was 4-5 with a double, three singles, and one RBI.
Chloe Lambert was 3-5 with a homerun, a single, and a double as well as two RBIs.
Kenna Scott was 2-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
Rian Schlief threw all nine innings for the Jags facing 40 batters. Schlief struck out seven.
