Monday Jun 24: vs Pocahontas Area (Home)


The JV team played against Pocahontas Area at Harcourt. While on offense: Brooke Peterson had 3 at bats with 1 single and was walked 2 times - she scored 1 time; Devon Olson had 3 at bats with a walk and a single - she also scored 1 time; Laila Christophersen had 3 at bats and made it on base with a single and scored; Meia Hefley made it on a base with a walk and brought in a run; Danielle Bethal made it on base and brought in a run for the Jags; Trinity Anderson made it on base with a walk; Ellie Carstens made it on base 2 times by being hit by the pitch and a walk; and Addy Lundquist made it on base both times with a single and a walk - she scored 1 time. While on defense: Brooke Peterson had 4 strikeouts while on the mound and Addy Lunquist had an unassisted out at second base with an infield pop fly. The JV team fought hard but lost 4-14 against Pocahontas Area.


Wednesday Jun 26: vs Greene County (Away)


The JV team traveled to Jefferson for a game against Greene County. While on offense: Brooke Peterson had 3 at bats with getting on base twice with 2 singles - she scored both times; Devon Olson had 3 at bats with 2 singles and a double - she scored 2 times; Laila Christophersen made it on base 2 times out of her 3 at bats with a walk and being hit by the pitch - she scored 1 time; Sage Lane made it on base with a walk and scored; Meia Hefley made it on base all 3 times at bat with a walk and 2 singles; Danielle Bethal made it on base with a walk; Trinity Anderson made it on base 2 times with being hit by a pitch and a double; and Ellie Carstens made it on base once with a single. While on defense: Devon Olson had 1 strikeout while on the mound; Brooke Peterson had 2 strikeouts and a throw out to first from the mound as well as an unassisted out at shortstop with an infield pop fly; Sage Lane had 2 unassisted outs at 3rd base with an infield pop fly and a tag at 3rd - Sage also had an out with throw to 1st base; and Laila Christophersen also had an unassisted out with a foul fly behind the plate. The Jags were ahead with a 6-5 lead by the time the game ended because of weather.


Thursday Jun 27: vs Manson (Away)


On Thursday, the team traveled to Manson. While on offense: Brooke Peterson had a double and scored; Devon Olson also had a double and brought in 2 runs with the hit; Lalia Christophersen got on base all 3 times with singles, she also scored 1 time and brought in a run with her 2nd at bat; Sage Lane had a single and scored; Meia Hefley had 3 at bats and made it on base all 3 times as well as scoring all 3 times - she also had an RBI; Danielle Bethal had 2 doubles and single - she also had an RBI and scored 1 time; Trinity Anderson had a single and was walked - she also had an RBI and scored; Ellie Carstens made it on base 2 times with walks; and Addy Lundquist made it on base 2 times with a walk and a single - she scored 1 time and had an RBI. While on defense: Brooke Peterson had 2 strikeouts and a throw to 1st from the mound; Devon Olson had an unassisted out at shortstop with an infield pop fly as well as a throw to 1st - she also had 2 throws to 1st and a strikeout while on the mound; Addy Lundquist had 2 throws to 1st as well as an unassisted out with a pop fly at 2nd base; Meia Hefley had a pop fly out in left field; and Danielle Bethal had an out with a throw to Addy at 2nd base for an out as well as an unassisted out at 1st base. The Jags won their 5th game of the season against Manson.


Wednesday July 3: vs Coon Rapids-Bayard (Home)


After 3 games being cancelled due to weather (Saydel, Eagle Grove, and Nevada), the Jags played against Coon Rapids-Bayard in Harcourt. While on offense: Brooke Peterson had 2 singles and was hit by the pitch - she scored 2 times; Devon Olson made it on base twice with a single and hit by the pitch; Laila Christophersen made it on base with a walk and hit by the pitch - she scored 1 time; Meia Hefley made it on base with a single and a walk - she scored both times; Sage Lane had a single and a walk; Danielle Bethal made it on base with an error; Ellie Carstens made it on base 1 time with a walk; Trinity Anderson made it on base with a walk and scored; and Addy Lundquist made it on base with being hit by the pitch and scored. While on defense: Brooke Peterson had 1 strikeout while on the mound; Sage Lane had an unassisted out with a catch in foul territory; Danielle Bethal had an unassisted out at 1st base with an infield pop fly; Laila Christophersen had a tag on a drop 3rd strike; and Devon Olson had strikeout and a throw to 1st base while on the mound. The Jags fought hard but lost to Coon Rapids 7-12.


Monday July 8: vs Webster City (Away)


The Jags traveled to Webster City for their last season game on Monday, July 8. While on offense Brooke Peterson had a single. The rest of the team had solid hits but couldn't find holes to make it on base. While on defense: Brooke Peterson had a strikeout and a throw to 1st base for an out from the mound; Devon Olson had 2 unassisted outs with infield flies at shortstop as well as 1 strikeout while on the mound; Meia Hefley had an out in left field with a pop fly; Ellie Carstens had an out in right field with a pop fly; and Addy Lundquist had an unassisted out with an infield pop fly at 2nd base. The Jags fought hard against Webster City, but lost 0-22 against the Lynx.


The JV Jaguars ended their season 5-1-16. The team grew as a whole and will continue to grow in the upcoming years. The JV Jaguars consisted of 10 girls that ranged from 8th grade to sophomores (2023-2024 School Year): Sage Lane, Addy Lundquist, Trinity Anderson, Danielle Bethal, Laila Christophersen, Meia Hefley, Kayla Field, Devon Olson, Ellie Carstens, and Brooke Peterson. The JV Jags were coached by Christie Kehoe, Miranda Simpson, and Sheridan Zeka.
