Southeast Valley Jaguars 8th Grade Fall to East Sac in Hard-Fought Matchup
The Southeast Valley Jaguars faced a tough opponent on Thursday night (12/12), falling to the East Sac County Raiders with a final score of 38-15. Despite the loss, the Jaguars showed determination and hustle throughout the game. East Sac County's strong offense set the tone early, building a lead that the Jaguars struggled to overcome.
Karly Rae Smith led the Jaguars in scoring, contributing six points, while Goldie Davis added five with her sharp shooting and quick drives to the basket. Farrah Tuel and Jaylon Zika chipped in two points each, showcasing their ability to stay aggressive in the paint. The Jaguars fought hard against East Sac's tight defense but had difficulty finding consistency on offense.

Despite the outcome, the Jaguars showed resilience and moments of promise throughout the game.
Offensively, Aubrey Richardson, Leah Fiala, and Tana Harrison each contributed two points, demonstrating determination in the face of a formidable East Sac defense. Kaylee Hicks stood out as a vocal leader on the court, keeping her teammates focused and energized even during difficult stretches. Defensively, Ava Richman, Grace Kaufman, and Aleeyah Hoefer worked tirelessly to disrupt East Sac's rhythm, earning praise for their hustle and effort.
