The 8th grade game was a very physically tough game. The Jags fought hard and had a 7 point lead in the 3rd quarter, but unfortunately could not shut down the Indians red hot shooting in the 4th quarter and lost a heartbreaking 24-17 game. The Jags were led in scoring by Jaylon Zika's 6 points. Farrah Tuel added 4, while Bella Smith chipped in with 3 points. Charlotte Blair and Goldie Davis rounded out the scoring for the Jags with 2 each.
Coach McCloud is quoted as saying, "Tough night in Pocohontas. Our girls played very hard and I am proud of their effort and toughness. We are struggling to score a lot of points right now. Hopefully, we can finish the season strong as we go into our last week of the season."
The Jags will next be in action as they get a rematch with the Cougars from MNW on January 13th.
