JH Girls @ Ogden

On Tuesday, December 3rd, the Southeast Valley Junior High Girls basketball teams traveled to Ogden to face the Bulldogs. The 8th graders opened the night with a very physical 17-14 loss. The Jags were down by 3 at half but had managed to tie the game at 14. The Bulldogs responded by going up by 3 with 5 seconds left. The Jags had one last chance at overtime but the last shot attempt hit rim and the iron was unkind to the Jags. The Jags were led in scoring with 4 points from Goldie Davis, Bella Smith and Jaylon Zika. Farrah Tuel also contributed to the Jags effort with 2 points.

The 7th grade Jags finished the night with a thrilling 16-15 overtime victory over the Bulldogs. The Jags played good defense and had timely scoring to pull away and hold on to the overtime victory.  The Jags were led in scoring with Tana Harrsion's 10 points. Kaylee Hicks added 4 points while Aubree Richardson chipped in 2.  Coach McCloud is quoted as saying, "The 8th grade had a very rough physical game that they had to battle through. I am proud of them for giving us a chance at the end of the game. The 7th graders played a great 2nd half and overtime. They earned this victory." The Jags will next be in action on Monday, December 10th as they travel to Barnum to face the NW Webster Cougars.
