On Monday, December 9th, the Southeast Valley Girls Basketball teams traveled to Barnum to face the MNW Cougars. The 7th grade team got the night started right with a 30-14 victory over the Cougars. The Jags were led in scoring by Tana Harrison's 16 points. Aubree Richardson added six while Leah Fiala contributed 4 points. Kaylee Hicks and Nalayna Knuth each chipped in 2 points for the Jags win.

The 8th grade team suffered a tough 29-14 loss to the Cougars. The Jags were led in scoring by Goldie Davis and Bella Smith's 4 points. Bella Dorsey, Farrah Tuel and Karley Rae Smith each added 2 points to the Jaguars cause. Coach McCloud is quoted as saying, " Proud of the effort from both teams today. 7th grade is on a 2 game winning streak, which is always a good thing. The 8th grade continues to grind and play hard. Eventually they will get things rolling like we know we can." The Jags will next be in action Thursday, December 12th, when East Sac County comes for a visit.
