The SV football team got back to winning with a huge win over Eagle Grove 64-0. This is what the boys needed to get things going for the rest of the season.

Jags defense forced a punt right off the bat.

Brady Hanson on play 2 had a 72 yard TD run and Cale Vansickle hit Logan Jaeschke for the 2 point conversion. Jags lead 8-0

Jags defense forces another 3 and punt.

First play Brady Hanson scores again from 65 out and Cale Vansickle hit Guage Jones for the 2 point conversion. Jags lead 16-0

Eagle Grove put their only real drive together on the night but Logan Jaeschke Intercepted the ball down by the goal line and the Jgas led 16-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.

On the Jags 3rd drive Drew Temple and Cale Vansickle picked up some quick rushing yards and then Cale Vansickle hit Gauge Jones for a 33 yard reception and then Cale Vansickle ran it in from the 1 yard line. Cale Vansickle hit Ian Brunner for the 2 point convsesion and the Jags led 24-0

3 plays later Eagle Grove Lenix ALlbee recovered a fumble and got the ball right back to the Jags.

 After a few plays Brady Hanson runs it in from the 7 yard line for his 3rd score of the game. Cale Vansickle hit Preston Kennedy for the 2 point conversion and the Jags led 32-0

Jags defense forces another 3 and out.

The Jags wanted another quick score before half. Cale Vansickle hit Guage Jones on 3 straight plays for receptions of 59, 23 and then finished with a 16 yard TD reception. Drew Temple ran in the 2 point conversion and the Jags led at half 40-0

The Jags wanted the starters to have 1 or 2 series the second half before we got the subs some playing time. Cale Vansickle wasted no time by running for a 57 yard TD and it was time for the starters to be done on offense for the night.

First group defense recovered Eagle Grove's very first play of the second half. Nick Field had the fumble recovery.

SV varsity offense took the field one more time and Cale Vansickle threw a 27 yard TD to Guage Jones.

SV got the ball back and we put the JV out on the field with COach Johnson calling the plays. They wasted no time. Casey Hanson threw 4 straight times and on his 4th throw hit Collin Johnson for a 20 yard TD. The JAgs kneeled the 2 point conversion.

SV JV defense takes the field and does an excellent job and gets the ball back to the offense.

Declan McGuire had a carry of 19 and then a 13 yard TD and once again the Jags kneeled the 2 point conversion.

Jags win 64-0 and got as many kids involved as possible. This was a great win for everyone.

The defense set 2 school records with 0 receptions and 0 yards allowed passing. The defense stepped up all game and only allowed 99 yards rushing. They also forced 2 Interceptions and 2 fumbles. Even the young got in and did an outstanding job on defense.

Brady Hanson set a new school record with a 28 yard average per run. Congrats to him and everyone blocking to help set this record. He finished the night with 6 carries for 168 yards and 3 TD's

The Jags are back on the road next week against Clarion.
