SVMS Update
The Junior high volleyball team has notched three more games into their belt.
Last week the Southeast Valley Middle School volleyball team faced off against Pocahontas Area Community on September 22 with the 7th grade in Gowrie and the 8th grade on the road. The 7th graders picked up their first wins of the season in that contest, defeating the Indians 3-1. The 8th graders fought hard, but fell short of the win, losing 1-5.
The Jags had a quick turn around facing off against the Ogden Bulldogs during homecoming week, where they would struggle to find their rhythm. 7th and 8th grade, both, lost to Ogden; 7th grade fell 1-2 and 8th lost 0-3.
The following Monday, SVMS volleyball finally got their home game in Burnside where they battled with the East Sac Raiders. 7th grade showed up and split with the Raiders, winning three and losing three. Despite a back and forth battle full of grit and aggressiveness by all girls on the team, the 8th grade team fell to the Raiders 1-5.
SVMS Jaguar volleyball is back in Action this Thursday (10/6) in Manson for a rematch with the Cougars. They will wrap up their season on October 11 in Burnside against Eagle Grove.
