SV JH Volleyball VS Pocahontas Area
On September 26th, the 7th grade volleyball team faced the Indians of Pocahontas Area. The Jags won 2 out of the first three matches, then lost the next 3 matches to the Indians. Four of the matches were decided by 4 points or less. The 7th grade Jags continue to improve and are ready to travel to their next opponent, the Bulldogs of Ogden. While the 7th grade played at home, the 8th grade SV jags volleyball team traveled to Pocahontas. Both 8th grade teams won their 1st two sets eliminating the need for a 3rd set to be played.
The A team won their matches 21-16 & 21-17. Farrah Tuel and Kinslie Nolte both served 4 ACE serves. Goldie Davis led the team in Kills with 5, followed by Kinslie Nolte with 3.
B Team struggled at the start falling behind 6-16 when Bella Dorsey took the serve and scored the team 8 points with some vicious serves 4 of which were ACEs. Elcie Johnson then continued the fight earning the team 8 more points with her serves and ending the set with the win 21-17. They then won the next set in a close battle 21-19. Bella Dorsey led the team in ACE serves with a total of 8, followed by Brylee Alligar with 3 ACEs.
Our next match will be Tuesday Oct. 1st vs the Ogden Bulldogs at 4:00 at the Ogden Highschool.
