HS Girls Track @ Emily Markert Relays

The girls track team competed at the Emily Markert Relays on April 17th on a night where there was supposed to be dangerous thunderstorms and chance of hail and ended up being a great night for running.

This was a bigger meet so the top 8 places scored points for this meet.

The night started with Leah Mills placing 8th in the Disc with a throw of 82-08.00. Manson runs things a little differently with a couple running events starting earlier than normal so as field events were taking place the Sprint Med opened the night with running events. The Sprint Med placed 8th with Mae Sercy, Madelyn Farely, Sage Lane and Addi Lundquist. Then before a break Katie Field placed 8th in the 3000.

After the break the Shuttle Hurdle placed 5th with Mae Searcy, Reagan Pearson, Sage Lane and Madelyn Farely with a time of 1:18.81

In the open 100 Camryn Lane placed 5th with a time of 13.50 and Avrie Hanson placed 6th with a time of 13.52. Avrie's time placed her in the top 10 all time at SV.

The Dis Med placed 7th with Leah Mills, Emily Wilson, Addi Lundquist and Devynn Wilson with a time of 5:34.36

Camryn Lane placed 3rd in the open 400 with a time of 1:06.31

The 4x200 placed 4th with Devynn Wilson, Emily Wilson, Sage Lane and Addi Lundquist with a time of 2:03.45

Mae Sercy placed 4th in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 17.42 and this time put her in the top 10 all time at SV

Ruby Stimpson placed 8th in 800 with a time of 2:57.76

Camryn Lane placed 5th in the open 200 with a time of 28.02 and right behind her was Avrie Hanson with a time of 18.19 and that was in the top 10 all time at SV

Sage Lane placed 7th in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:20.65

Ruby Stimpson ran her best 1500 of the year with a time of 5:55.61 and placed 6th

Then the 4x100 ran their best time of the year and placed 4th with a time of 53.72 and this also was a top 10 all time at SV

Times continue to improve for the girls and that is the main focus moving forward. Are we improving and getting better every time we step on the track?

The girls will compete at our last home meet of the year Tuesday April 22nd. If you have not seen the girls run, stop out and watch.
